The Talyllyn Railway is a narrow-gauge preserved railway running for 7.25 miles from Tywyn on the coast to Nant Gwernol near the village of Abergynolwyn.
Cader Idris is a mountain in Gwynedd which lies at the southern end of the Snowdonia National Park near the town of Dolgellau and its highest point is 2930ft. Walk to the summit or stop at the lake for a picnic.
Lake Vyrnwy - Its stone-built dam built in the 1880s, was the first of its kind in the world. It is a popular destination for days out, and for bird watchers, cyclists and hikers.

Visit the very scenic Llyn Tegid – Wales’s largest natural lake.
Snowdon – Wales’s highest mountain. The summit can be reached by a number of well-known paths, and by the Snowdon Mountain Railway, a rack and pinion railway opened in 1896 which carries passengers the 4.7 miles from Llanberis to the summit station.

Picturesque Barmouth at the mouth of the river Mawddach. Have a stroll on the lovely sandy beach and walk along the half-a-mile long bridge.

At Welshpool, visit Powis Castle. The seat of the Earl of Powis the castle is known for its extensive, attractive formal gardens, terraces, parkland, deerpark and landscaped estate. The property is under the care of the National Trust. Or take a ride on the Welshpool and Llanfair Light Railway.

The Mawddach Trail - Walk or cycle to Barmouth along the old railway line.
